"Excused" as an attendance option

It would be useful to have "Excused" as a category for attendance on meetings. Yes/No does not allow for differentiation between someone who just doesn't show up versus someone who contacts you in advance to tell you why they won't be there. I count "excused" differently than I do "no" with no reason.

Sandra Hasenauer could this "Excused" attendance option be covered by using RSVPs and when someone says "No" they have the option to include a note to explain?

Heather Sharp: Not for how I'd want to use it. I run attendance reports every few months to see if we have board members who are just regular no-shows rather than those who may have been given leave to be absent. (We have bylaws with attendance requirements.) If the attendance report simply shows a binary option, I'd have to manually dig into every "no" or absent to find out if they'd contacted us in advance and were given permission not to attend. So if our attendance was able to say Yes, No, Excused, that gives us that third option to say sure, they weren't there, but we knew in advance and it was okay.
